Ball 4 All dribbling programs

One Ball Stationary Drills

-Off The Wall Dribble: Stand in front of a wall. Hold a ball in your hand and then dribble it against the wall. Do the same for both hands. As you progress stand further and further back and dribble the ball.

-Finger Dribble: This is a great exercise for increasing strength in the fingers as well as grip for each finger. Start by dribbling the ball with your thumb and do this times. Then move on to your index finger and do the same. Continue with all your fingers and move on to your other hand.

-Ball Slaps: Put a basketball on one hand then slap it over to your other hand quickly and do this repeatedly as quick as possible. It is important to limit the time the ball hits your fingers and also only use your fingers and wrists to move the ball.

-Circles: There are 4 types of Circles: Head, Waist, Legs, and Corkscrew. The first 3 you just circle the ball around what it says as fast as you can(i.e. waist- go as fast as you can around your waist.), but once you get all 3 of those down try the corkscrew. You go head, waist, legs, waist, head without stopping. Try to do it both clockwise and counter clockwise.

-Ricochet: Stand with your legs spread apart and hold the ball with both hands in front of you. Bounce it in between your legs, then catch the ball behind you. Now bounce it back to the front. Do this as quickly as you can. Be careful that you don't hurt yourself with this drill!

-Scissors: This is a simple drill to do. Stand like you would if you were going to dribble the ball in between your legs. Then dribble between your legs, but as soon as your other hand touches the ball switch the position of your feet(i.e. if your right foot was in front and your left foot in back, make your left foot in front, and you right one back) and bounce the ball back in between your legs. Repeat this over and over.

-Figure 8: Same thing as the circles except you go in a figure 8 around your legs.

-Figure 8 Dribble: Same as the figure 8 but you dribble low and fast.

-V Dribble: Dribble the ball with one hand in a "V". Do both hands.

-Between The Leg V Dribble: Go down on 1 knee then dribble the ball with both hands under your lead leg. Do both legs

-Front To Back V Dribble: Same as the V Dribble except instead of going left to right go front to back on one side of you. Do both hands.

-Spider Dribble/Crab Dribble: Stand with your legs spread apart, drop the ball in front of you. Now hit it with your right hand and then your left hand, then reach behind you and hit it with your right hand then left hand, then reach in front of you again and hit with your right hand then left hand, and then behind you again...

Extra Moves:

SHAMMGOD:
Dribble with your strong hand then "accidentally" let the ball get away from you. Then when your defender has bit and goes after the steal cross him over and drive, your defender won't even think that you lost the ball on purpose if you did it right.

Hop Scotch: WHEN DRIBBLIN HIT THE CROSSOVER THROUGH THE LEGS TO THE SAME SIDE THAT UR DRIBBLIN TO BUT CATCH BALL WITH OPPOSITE LEG AGAINST THIGH. WHEN U DO THAT U HIT A PAUSE WHITH THE BALL ON UR LEG AND THIGH AND NOT LETING THE BALL TOUCH THE GROUND SWITCH UP LEGS SO ITS ON THE OTHERSIDE.CONTINUE TO DO DO THAT. THATS WHY ITS CALLED HOP-SCOTCH.

Something To Do- YOU HIT THE IVE2 SPIN THEN WHEN UR IN THE MIDDLE OF THE SPIN U LET THE BALL DRIBBLE OFF OF THE OPPOSITE LEG THAT U SPON OFF.

Iversons:
This is the move that AI did in that old DMX shor commercial. This works on just about anybody! Dribble up to the defender with your right hnd and start a spin move. At the point where your back is at the defender, take the ball with your left hand and go behind your back, putting the ball back in your right hand. This move works because your defender thinks your spinning one way, and then you go behind your bck leaving shattered ankles everywhere.

Shake-Down:
First to do this you have to be pretty fast, have very good handles and be very patient. Dribble the ball with your strong hand then when you are about 2 or so from the defender whip the ball around your back like your passing it to your left hand but when the ball takes the sharp turn to your front take a slight skip with your right leg over the ball and the ball will find itself back in your right hand. All on that one bounce. If you can perfect that move, you have just become the illest player on the court
